Life U Alum Emerson Allen Named to USA Rugby World Cup Squad

MARIETTA, Ga. — Life University alumna Emerson Allen has been named to the USA Rugby Women's National Team for the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup.

Allen, a standout during her time with the Running Eagles and a 2022 graduate, now joins the USA Eagles national team as they prepare for the biggest stage in women's rugby. With over 330,000 tickets already sold, this year's Rugby World Cup is set to be the most watched Women's Rugby World Cup ever. Taking place this August, the tournament will showcase the world's top talent, with Allen proudly representing both the United States and Life University on the global stage. The USA Women's Eagles will kick off their Rugby World Cup campaign with a highly anticipated clash against host nation England in the tournament's opening match. They will then face Australia and Samoa in Pool A in their campaign to secure a place in the Semifinals. 

Life University graduate assistant, Devyn Gomez, interviewed Allen ahead of her first World Cup appearance.
