MARIETTA, Ga. — The Life University women's volleyball team bounced back in SSAC play on Saturday, defeating top-seeded Blue Mountain Christian (MS) in four sets, 25–21, 21–25, 25–17, 25–20, inside the Upper Gym. The win moved the Running Eagles to 9–6 overall and 4–3 in conference action.
The Running Eagles stunned the Toppers in the first set after the teams traded points early. To end the set, the Running Eagles built late momentum on kills from Jade Watson and Victoria Davenport, pulling away to secure the frame 25–21.
Blue Mountain responded in the second, using strong serving and a mid-set run to take control. The Running Eagles were able to fight back to within two, but the Toppers closed the set 25–21 to even the match.
The third frame belonged to the Running Eagles, who found their rhythm offensively. Watson and Paola Vega each delivered key kills during a 6–1 stretch that pushed Life U ahead for good. An Esosa Ehigiator block sealed the set, 25–17, and gave the Running Eagles a hard-fought 2–1 lead.
In the fourth, Life maintained its momentum. Vega, Watson, and Davenport again powered the offense down the stretch while Reign Jarin steadied the back row. The Running Eagles closed out the frame 25–20 to take the match 3–1.

– Life finished with 47 kills on a .160 hitting percentage, while limiting Blue Mountain to 42 kills and a .089 mark.
– The Running Eagles out-dug the Toppers 73–64 and posted 11.0 total blocks to BMC's 8.0.
