MARIETTA, Ga. — The No. 4 Life University men's soccer team drew against the Roadrunners of Dalton State on Saturday afternoon in a scoreless contest. Keeper Pawel Wolny did an excellent job keeping the contest level in the first half, recording three saves in the frame.
Enrico Burigotto opened the contest with the first chance in the second minute, forcing early work out of the Roadrunners keeper. Life U continued to fire away early, recording four shots in the first 25 minutes. The middle minutes saw the Running Eagles continue to fire away before Dalton State took control in the later minutes. The Roadrunners had three prime chances in the 38th, 39th and 45th minutes, but were turned aside by Wolny each time.
Heading into the break, the Running Eagles held the lead in shots, 6-3, and Wolny recorded three saves.
The second half started slow, with neither team having a real chance until midway through the half. In the late minutes, the intensity picked up. Both teams hunted a winner as Burigotto and company fired away on frame. Despite multiple chances and a last-second header from Enrico Lazzari, Life U was not able to find a winner.
