Life University Powers to Home Victory Over Queens, 50-17

02.10.26

MARIETTA, Ga. -- The Life University women's rugby team hosted Queens for their second home game of the 2025/26 college season and delivered a strong 50-17 result. The Running Eagles built momentum through powerful phases, crossing for 8 tries in a performance that highlighted their attacking potential.

However, the match wasn't flawless. A high number of penalties conceded, more than in any other game this year, disrupted flow, hurt ball retention, and kept Queens in contention longer than the scoreline suggests.

Head Coach Ryszard Chadwick addressed the areas for growth: "We really struggled to build any momentum. More penalties conceded than any other game we have played this year allowed Queens to feel like they were in the game. Our ball retention due to this was also poor. When we were able to maintain possession, there was only one outcome. A good learning opportunity for us and plenty of room to grow despite putting up 50 points."

Key contributors in the scoring were CeCe Rose (5 conversions), along with tries from Mercie Vivao, Amenekina Latu, Olivia Frisby, Ann Marie Robinson, Emma "AJ" Haughey, and Danie Taulua.
