CLEVELAND, Ga. — The Life University men's volleyball team turned in a commanding performance Friday afternoon, sweeping Carolina University in straight sets (25–10, 25–12, 25–19) on the campus of Truett-McConnell.
The Running Eagles controlled the match from the start, using aggressive serving and a disciplined defensive presence to keep Carolina off balance throughout all three sets.
Life U wasted no time setting the tone in the opening frame, capitalizing on early runs from the service line and strong play at the net. The Running Eagles recorded four service aces and four blocks in the set, quickly building separation and cruising to a 25–10 victory.
The second set saw more of the same, as Life U continued to pressure Carolina with its serve while maintaining offensive efficiency. The Running Eagles totaled five aces in the frame and took advantage of Carolina miscues to extend their lead. Life U remained firmly in control en route to a 25–12 win and a 2–0 match advantage.
Carolina showed increased resistance in the third, keeping pace early as the teams traded points through the middle portion of the set. Despite the tighter margin, Life U responded with a decisive run fueled by timely kills and continued success from the service line. The Running Eagles closed out the match with a 25–19 decision to secure the sweep.
