MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life University women's flag football team picked up its fourth-straight win, taking down the Eagles of Reinhardt on Thursday afternoon. The Running Eagles dominated the second-half, holding the visitors scoreless while lighting it up on the offensive end.

The Life U defense opened the contest strong, forcing a three-and-out from Reinhardt before the offense went to work. Cheyenne Brooks wasted no time getting the Running Eagles on the board as Life U jumped out to a 6-0 lead. The visiting Eagles responded in the first with a touchdown of their own, taking a 7-6 advantage into the second quarter of action.

Following an Elora Niederpruem punt, Reinhardt struck again early in the second, taking a 13-7 lead. Brooks and company answered the score with a touchdown, but could not convert the extra point, leaving the score line at 13-12. The scoring did not stop there as Life U reclaimed the lead shortly after with a late strike.

Leading 19-13 coming out of the half time break, the Running Eagles dominated the second half. Life U outscored the visiting Eagles 20-0 while the defense recorded multiple pass breakups and an interception.

Brooks kicked off the second-half scoring with a 47-yard strike to Altierra Gooch before completing a short, 5-yard touchdown pass near the end of the quarter. In the fourth, Brooks struck once more, finding Reagan Washington for a 23-yard TD.

Ainhoa Garcia Velasco led the defensive effort with 8 tackles while Oumy Gaye recorded a fourth-quarter interception.
