WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - The Life University men's lacrosse team fell to the Patriots of Cumberlands on Sunday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the AAC Tournament. Though the first half was competitive, Life U struggled to keep pace in the second half.

Both offenses started out hot in the first period. The Patriots kicked off the scoring but were quickly answered by Jared Cordova. Going on an early run, UC built a three-goal lead just six minutes into the contest before Life U looked to hit back. Erik Fornek and Alex McGuire each found the back of the net in period, but the defense struggled to slow down the Patriot offense that put in six goals in the frame.

Trailing 6-3 to open the second , the contest teetered on a blowout as UC poured in four-unanswered goals in the first seven minutes to take a seven-goal lead. Tristan Berry, Christofer Tyson and Cordova responded with three-straight of their own to cut the deficit back to four as the defense held the Patriots scoreless for the remainder of the period.

Out of half time, things took a turn for the worse. Cumberlands poured in four goals in the frame while the lone strike for the Running Eagles came from Cordova. The goal marked the last time Life U scored in the contest.

Capping off the fourth, the Patriots added three more to take the 17-7 win over Life U.
