Cheryl Blaxton

Cheryl Blaxton, MS, LAT, ATC joined Life University Athletics as an assistant athletic trainer in November of 2021. She currently serves as the primary athletic trainer for men’s basketball.

Blaxton came to Life University as a graduate assistant athletic trainer in 2019 where she received her Master of Sport Health Science with an emphasis in Sport Injury Management. During her time as a graduate assistant, she acted as the primary athletic trainer for men’s basketball. After being hired on as an assistant athletic trainer, she spent a year caring for the women’s wrestling and the men’s volleyball teams.
 
Before returning to Life U as an assistant athletic trainer, she worked at Auburn University at Montgomery where she provided care to the women’s volleyball, men’s basketball, cross country, baseball, and tennis teams.
Prior to coming to Life University, Blaxton worked as an intern athletic trainer at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. There she worked with the women’s volleyball and softball teams.
 
Blaxton earned her undergraduate degree from Charleston Southern University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training and a minor in Kinesiology.
