Mike Graus

Mike enters his first full year as an assistant athletic trainer for the Life University Athletic Department. He arrived at Life University in January of 2025, working with the Men's Volleyball, Women's Soccer and Men's Track and Field teams.

Graus earned his Bachelor's of Science degree in Education from the University of Nebraska in 1991. He obtained his Master's of Arts degree in Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1993.

Upon graduation, Graus began a 23-year career with the Atlanta Braves organization. He made stops in Idaho Falls, ID, Danville, VA, Eugene, OR, Macon, GA, Myrtle Beach, SC, Greenville, SC, Pearl, MS, Richmond, VA and Gwinnett County, GA. The final 10 years of his career, he was the Braves Minor League Head Athletic Trainer. Then in October 2015, he began working with Peachtree Orthopedics as a clinical assistant/athletic trainer. Part of this employment was being the athletic trainer for the Georgia Swarm Professional Lacrosse team in Gwinnett County.

Mike has lived in Marietta since 2005.  Both of his daughters are graduates of Marietta High School, and both are attending university in London, England.  In his downtime, Graus is an avid music fan, attending hundreds of concerts in his lifetime.
