Zack Desmarais

Now entering his third year as head coach of Life University’s women’s flag football program, Coach Zacheriah Desmarais brings nearly two decades of experience in the 7v7 screen game as both a player and a coach. Before joining Life University, he launched and led the women’s flag football program at McEachern High School, where his teams consistently ranked in the top 10 statewide.

As a decorated player, Coach Desmarais is a two-time collegiate national champion at Kennesaw State University, four-time Georgia state champion, and was honored with multiple All-American selections and Tournament MVP awards. In 2014, he was inducted into the NIRSA Hall of Fame as both a quarterback and rusher. He also previously served as the UFFL National Director for both the Screen and Coed Divisions.

Coach Desmarais holds a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education and a master’s in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University, as well as a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University. In addition to coaching, he is a dedicated educator in the Cobb County School District.

Passionate about teaching and the growth of flag football, Coach Desmarais is committed to building a winning culture rooted in open communication, accountability, and integrity. His mission extends beyond the field: to equip young women to succeed in all aspects of life.

Coach Desmarais has been married to his wife, MK, for 10 years. Together, they are raising three boys — Jack, Rhett, and Ford.
