Tim Walker

Walker began his tenure at Life University in 2022 as the Assistant Volleyball Coach under former Head Coach, the late Carlos Soler. In 2023, he stepped into the role of interim Head Coach to start the season and was officially named Head Coach in October of that year. That same year, he guided the Running Eagles to a top-three finish in SSAC Conference play, posting an 11-3 record in the SSAC and a 16-11 overall mark. Five of his players earned postseason honors, including Naomi Eckert Rivera, named Setter of the Year, and Lela Parker, who was recognized on the All-Freshman Team and as the Freshman of the Year.

Walker’s outstanding work in that role earned him some of the sport’s most prestigious honors including 2023 SSAC Assistant Coach of the Year, 2023 AVCA Northeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year, and the 2023 AVCA National Assistant Coach of the Year.

Beyond the collegiate level, Walker has extensive coaching experience with A5 Volleyball Club, the #1-ranked club in the nation, where he has trained some of the top athletes across the Southeast and helped them secure playing opportunities in college.

Walker was also honored with the 2020 AVCA Diversity Award, recognizing his dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion within sport.

Through every role, Walker’s mission remains the same: to inspire and prepare young women for success in competition and in life.
