Life U Falls to No. 9 Lindsey Wilson 3-1

MARIETTA, Ga. – Life University (7-7, 2-3 MSC) fell 3-1 to No. 9 Lindsey Wilson (9-2, 5-0 MSC) on Tuesday.

"This was a disappointing loss today," Head Coach Alex Pama said. "We go up 1-0 after 25 minutes, but again give the goals away too easily. We don't know what was wrong with our team. It looked like the boys were off and not as sharp as we have been this season. The staff and I need to review this game tomorrow, and see what we can do to prepare the guys for the next game on Friday in Kentucky. We have two conference and one non-conference game left before the tournament, so we still have a lot to play for."

Life U was outshot 16-9, with 10 shots on goal compared to four. Freshman Daryoush Hosseini took the loss in the goal allowing three goals with seven saves.

The match began with the Running Eagles putting offensive pressure on the Blue Raiders. It paid off when junior Wessley Soronellas found the back of the net at 27'. LWC would return the pressure and find the equalizer at 34', and take the lead a short time later with a goal at 39', which gave them a 2-1 lead going into the half.

The second half opened on an offensive flurry from the Blue Raiders, who extended their lead just 45 seconds into the period. The remainder of the half was a defensive back-and-forth. Lindsey Wilson took the victory 3-1.

Life U is back in action on Oct. 20 as they travel to Georgetown, Ky. to face off against Georgetown College.
