GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Life University (8-7, 3-3 MSC) knocked off Georgetown (7-7, 2-4 MSC) 3-1 on Friday.
Â
"We are very proud of the guys," Head Coach
Alex Pama. "They worked hard and totally deserved this win. We created 11 very good chances and hit the post twice, which was unfortunate. We played a very physical team, but our men answered the right way by winning the game and playing good football at times. Now one more conference game and one more regular game before the tournament begins. Unlike last year, this year we go into the tournament with expectations."

Freshman
Thierry Jules led the Running Eagles with two goals and sophomore
Henry Hernandez added a goal of his own. Life U outshot the Tigers 21-3, with eight shots on goal compared to just three.
Â
The first half of the match was a very evenly fought match early, with both teams feeling each other out. However, Hernandez put Life U on the board first with a goal at 39'. Georgetown would score the equalizer in the waning minutes of the half at 40' to tie it up at 1-1.
Â
The final period was all Running Eagles as Jules quickly score the go-ahead goal at 52'. A short two minutes later, he would put the game away with a goal at 54' to take a 3-1 lead. Life U held on the rest of the half to take the 3-1 win.
Â
The Running Eagles are back in action on Oct. 25 as they close out the conference regular season against Cumberland on Senior Day.
