MARIETTA, Ga. – Life University (17-9, 5-5 MSC) found a way to come out on top in a five-set thriller against No. 17 Georgetown (14-3, 9-3 MSC) on Friday.
Â
"Tonight's win was probably the largest win in our program's history," Head Coach
Steve Wilcosky said. "It's moments like this that you remember for a lifetime. I'm so proud that these girls were able to rise to the occasion, knock off a nationally-ranked team and put together a solid team effort. We had some incredible performances tonight. Liz was back to for form with 22 kills and 13 digs, a remarkable effort by her. The most impressive was probably
Amber Harris and her composure and put us in a position to win. She did a great job running what she was asked to run, and not doing anything different than that. I was impressed by our middle. We did a great job holding their All-Americans to a negative hitting percentage and limiting them to single digit kills. That was our game plan. We said we need to isolate them and make everyone else beat us. When you go against top-level teams, you know it's going to be a fight. We were fortunate to come out with the win. I'm extremely proud of our girls."

Amber Harris had a career-high 58 assists to go along with seven digs, two kills and an ace.
