MARIETTA, Ga. – Life University women's soccer took a 4-0 win over Montreat in an exhibition on Thursday. The win was thanks in large part to junior
Josie Davis, sophomore
Miranda Kiff and freshman
Wilma Moberg.
Â
Head coach
Sam Clark was pleased with what she saw on the field.
Â
"It was good to see the chemistry of the team start to come together," said Clark. "It is important that they are able to rely on each other to work through the challenges of the game."
Â
Moberg, a native of Kumla, Sweden, got things started for the Running Eagles at '29 with goal to give them a 1-0 lead into half.
Â
In the second half, the squad really found their groove at they scored three times, with two goals coming from Davis and a goal coming from Kiff.
Â
Life U outshot the Crusaders 35-4 and limited them to 3 shots on goal. Freshman
Julia Bernhardt posted a clean sheet in the victory.
Â
The Running Eagles will go back on the road next week as they travel to Beaufort, S.C. to take on USC Beaufort on Aug. 22.
