BLUFFTON, S.C. – Life University women's soccer (1-1) fell to USC Beaufort (1-0) 7-2 on Tuesday.

Sam Clark said. "We have no choice but to regroup and push forward from here."

The Running Eagles two goals came from juniors
Katelynn Harbeke and
Josie Davis. However, Mid-South Conference Defender of the Week, freshman
Julia Bernhardt took her first loss of the season.

Life U came out of the game hot as Davis scored the first goal of the match at 2'. Harbeke followed that up with a goal of her own at 15', giving the Running Eagles a 2-0 lead early. However, that lead would be short lived as USCB answered with two goals in two minutes at 16' and 17'. They would score once more in the half to take the lead 3-2 at 38'.

The second half was all Sand Sharks as they scored four goals in the period. They outshot Life U 19-3 in the half, with 10 shots on goal.

The Running Eagles are back in action as they travel to Ave Maria, Fla. On Aug. 26 to take on Ave Maria College.
