MARIETTA, Ga. – Life University men's soccer (0-1) dropped the home opener to Point University (1-0) on Tuesday night.

"This was a disappointing loss," Head Coach
Alex Pama said. "We wasted a lot of good and opportunities. Unfortunately, this was an expensive lesson for our team."

The Running Eagles two goals came from sophomores
Henry Hernandez and
Sergio Sereeira. Unfortunately, junior
Joe Davis took his first loss of the season with nine saves on 12 shots on goal.

Life U got things rolling right out of the gate, as Hernadez scored the match's first goal at 2' on a pass from freshman
Thierry Jules. After that, the remainder of the half a defensive battle as neither team was able to find the back of the net.

The Skyhawks got their first goal and tied the match at 57'. The Running Eagles answered back a short while later as Sereeira drilled home a shot from Jules to retake the lead. Once again, Point knotted the score up, this time at 2-2 with goal at 69'. They would score their goal ahead two minutes later at 71' to seal their victory 3-2.
