MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Life U women's soccer (2-2) fell to Johnson & Wales 4-1 on Monday.
 
"Johnson & Wales deserved this result today," Head Coach Sam Clark said. "It ultimately came down to which team was disciplined and which team had the desire to win. That was not us today. WE had several missed assignments and failed to work our defensive game plan."
 
The Running Eagles lone goal came from sophomore Klaudia Cancino. Freshman goalie Julia Bernhardt suffered her second loss of the season giving up four goals with seven saves.
 
The Wildcats outshot Life U 19 to 7, with 11 shots on goal compared to just five.
 
JWU got the scoring started early as they found the back of the net just eight minutes into the match. Cancino would tie the score at 28'. The Wildcats roared ahead with two goals within 15 seconds at 38' to take a 3-1 lead into the half.
 
The period was a much more defensive half. JWU scored their only goal of the half at 68' and sealed the victory 4-1.
 
The Running Eagles will return to Marietta to open up the home schedule on Sept. 5 when the face off against Faulkner.
