Running Eagles Fall To Bryan 5-2

MARIETTA, Ga. – Life University (2-3) fell to Bryan College (2-2) on Wednesday.
 
"We are still a young team and sometimes, like tonight, our youth shows," Head Coach Sam Clark said. "We still have a lot of pieces to put together and we will continue to Work to find our identity."
 
The Running Eagles' lone two goals both came from freshman Wilma Moberg off of two penalty kicks. Freshman Julia Bernhardt suffered her third loss of the season in the goal allowing three goals with six saves. Freshman Pien Van Kampen made her debut in the goal allowing two goals with three saves.
 
Life U was outshot 19-12, with 14 shots on goal compared to eight.
 
The Lions got on the board early with a goal at 6'. The Running Eagles scored the equalizer as Moberg found the back of the net on a penalty kick in the 23rd minute. BC would strike back with two quick goals to close out the half with a 3-1 lead.
 
The Lion continued their momentum as they scored quickly in the third minute of the final period. They would score again three minutes later to take a 5-1 lead. Moberg would once again sink a penalty kick shot at 73', but ultimately Life U fell 5-2 to Bryant.
 
The Running Eagles are back in action on Sunday as they face off against Shaw University.
