MARIETTA, Ga. – Life University (3-3) looked dominant in their 6-0 win over NCAA Division II Shaw (1-4) on Sunday.

Sam Clark said. "It was a great win today because we were able to control every phase of play. We were composed in possession and recovered defensively in units. We were able to play the style we wanted, and several players were able to step up and contribute during important moments during the match."

Katelynn Lawhorn all got on the scoresheet on Sunday. Freshman
Pien van Kampen got the first win of her career in the goal with three saves, as well as her first career shutout.

From the word go, the Running Eagles looked like they were poised dominate. They got things started as Davis found the back of the net at 8'. Solorzano-Sierra increased the lead to 2-0 at 22'. Life U got two quick goals in the waning moments of the first half from Cancino (34') and Harbeke (38'), and took a 4-0 lead into the half.

In the second half, the Running Eagles attempted to play a more defensive game for the majority of the period. However, the squad added to more goal late in the match from Moberg (71') and Lawhorn (79') to take the 6-0 victory.

Life U is back in action on Sept. 22 as they travel to Macon, Ga. to face off against Middle Georgia State in a game that had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Irma.
