MACON, Ga. – Life University (3-4) fell to Middle Georgia State (4-3) 6-0 on Friday.
Â
"This was a frustrating result, because it wasn't a fair reflection of the game," Head Coach
Sam Clark said. "We had a good amount of possession and created several opportunities in the attack. However, Middle Georgia was able to capitalize on our mistakes when we were unable to take advantage of theirs."
Â
Life U was outshot 22-13 with a difference of 13 shots on goal compared to 11. Freshman
Julia Bernhardt earned her fourth loss of the season, allowing five goals with four saves.
Â
The Knights got things started early scoring in the first five minutes of the match. They would take a 2-0 lead into the half with a goal at 39'.
Â
The second half got away from the Running Eagles as they scored four more goals (67', 77', 80', 87').
Â
Life U will close out the non-conference portion of the schedule on Sept. 25 as they welcome Faulkner to Lupo Family Field for a match that was postponed earlier in the season for inclement weather.
