WALESKA, Ga. – Life University (13-4) fell to Reinhardt (9-4) on Tuesday.

Junior
Chelsea Hill led the squad with nine kills, as well as two digs. Junior
Liz Mann contributed eight kills, six digs, two aces and two blocks. Junior
Miriam Goodfriend posted 21 assists, five digs, a kill and an ace.

The match began with a tightly contested first set. Eventually, Life U opened up a lead of 15-11 and was 20-15 at its height. However, the Eagles would battle back and went on a 10-3 run to take the set 25-23.

Reinhardt used their momentum to open the second set on a 6-2 run. The Running Eagles battled back and tied the match 6-6. From there, the set went back and forth with both teams trading points until the RU Eagles took a 15-12 lead. They eventually took the set 25-22.

The third set was also tightly contested early in the frame. Reinhardt began to breakaway with a 6-1 run, and took a 18-13 lead. Life U tried to mount a comeback, but came up short with RU taking the set and the match 25-19.

The Running Eagles get back to Mid-South Conference play on Sept. 21 as they travel to take on Campbellsville.
