LEBANON, Tenn. – Life University (7-9, 0-4 MSC) fell 77-57 to Cumberland (14-6, 3-2 MSC) on Saturday.

Tierra Lindsey paced the squad with 15 points as well as five rebounds, a block and a steal. Freshman
Diamond Atkins put up nine points with a rebound, a block and a steal. Senior
Kennesha Nichols also contributed nine points, two rebounds, an assist and a block.
Life U never led in the game, with Cumberland opened on a 14-2 lead. The Phoenix wasted no time dashing out to an insurmountable lead as they took a 26-8 lead into the final 10 minutes of the half. They didn't waste any momentum taking a 48-21 lead into the half.
Cumberland continued their dominance in the second half as they held a lead of at least 20 points for most of the final 20 minutes. They eventually took a 77-57 victory.
The Running Eagles will continue their road trip on Thursday, Jan. 25 as they travel to Portsmouth, Ohio to take on No. 4 Shawnee State.
