LEBANON, Tn. ---- The Life University women's soccer team fell to No. 8 nationally ranked Cumberland University 2-0 in Mid-South Conference play on the road Monday afternoon.
NOTES
• Life U fell to 4-5 (0-1) on the year, while Cumberland improved to 10-0 (1-0).
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Josie Davis and
Wilma Moberg each had three shots in the match with one on frame.

Elisabeth Andersag and
Callie Lambert each added two shots as
Jasmine Turner recorded the final shot on frame.
• Despite the two goals allowed,
Julia Bernhardt recorded a career-high 15 saves in the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Eight minutes into the match, Vetter found the back of the net on a hard-line drive shot that snuck in just under the top of the crossbar to put Cumberland ahead 1-0.
• Turner put the first look on frame for Life U in the 37
thminute, however Cumberland increased its lead to two in the 41
stminute. Holloway scored on the assist from Segura and Aplin to put the Phoenix ahead 2-0.
• Life U trailed by the same scoreline at the half.
• Davis put a shot on frame in the 50
thminute, however Life U was still unable to find a goal.
• Bernhardt continued to give the Running Eagles a chance with six saves in the second half.
• Moberg had her look at goal in the 64
thminute, however Kambeitz was able to keep her clean sheet with the save.
• Life U had one more shot at goal in the 85
thminute that was blocked as Cumberland took the 2-0 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Cumberland outshot Life U 30-14 during the match. The Phoenix held the advantage in shots on frame over the Running Eagles 17-3.
• Cumberland held the advantage in corner kicks over Life U 9-6.
• Life U led Cumberland in saves 15-3.
