MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University men's soccer team fell Tuesday night to the University of the Cumberlands 5-4 in the home Mid-South Conference matchup, despite outshooting the Patriots 22-15.
NOTES
• Life U fell to 5-9-1 (1-3-0) on the year, while Cumberlands improved to 7-3-2 (4-1-0).

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Life U took an early 1-0 lead in the seventh minute of the match as Cortes finished the penalty into the back of the net.
• Life U extended its lead to 2-0 in the 26
thminute as Sereeira laid off a ball at the top of the 18 that was curled into the goal by Romero.
• 21 seconds later, Cumberlands scored its first goal of the match from Gonzalez.
• Life U took a 3-1 lead in the 37
thminute of the match as Romero found Soronellas outside the 18 for another goal from distance for the Running Eagles.
• Cumberlands cut the lead to one, 3-2, in the 42
ndminute as Van Der Made scored his first goal of the match with the assist from Infantes. Life U held a narrow 3-2 lead at the break.
• Three minutes into the start of the second half, Cumberlands tied the match on a goal from Caldwell that was assisted by Van Der Made.
• Life U regained the lead in the 51
stminute on a volley effort from distance off the foot of Magnusson that was played by Jules. The Running Eagles led 4-3 with just under 40 minutes remaining in the match.
• Van Der Made scored his next two goals for the hat-trick in the 61

thminute. He provided Cumberlands with the game-winner as the Patriots held on for the 5-4 victory over Life U.
