MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University men's soccer team came from behind to upset Tennessee Wesleyan University 4-3 Tuesday evening. The Bulldogs entered the match 4-0 and were receiving votes in the first edition of the NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
NOTES
• Four different individuals scored as the Running Eagles trailed 2-0 early in the first half. Life U did not take the lead until the 81
stminute of the match.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Ricardo Lawrence scored the first goal for Life U and also picked up an assist.
•
Steinar Magnusson scored the winning goal, and also picked up an assist.
•
Sergio Sereeira and
Wessley Soronellas also scored for Life U.
Ahmad Saidy and
Davis Magee each added an assist.
Ben Zulechner picked up the win in goal with two saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• 12 minutes into the match, Tennessee Wesleyan struck first on a long clearance from Lambert that found Baggaley open down the field for an early 1-0 Bulldog lead.
• Four minutes later, a through ball from Timms found Gonzalez who put a hard knuckling shot on frame that found the back of the net. After the first 16 minutes, Tennessee Wesleyan led 2-0.
• Seconds after running onto the field for a substitution, Lawrence found the back of the net for Life U after a cross from Magnusson to cut the lead to one, 2-1.
• In the 38
thminute, Sereeira tied the game at two after a long ball from Buechler was finished past the keeper into the lower corner. The game remained tied at the half 2-2.
• 12 minutes after the break, Tennessee Wesleyan regained the lead 3-2 after a long cross from Timms was volleyed into the lower left corner of the goal by Baggaley.
• Life U had its chances and equalized the match at three. A cross was laid off to Soronellas making a run who finished the goal into the lower right corner of the goal.
• In the 81
stminute of the match, a ball was touched back by Lawrence as Saidy pinned one off the crossbar that found the open feet of Magnusson in front of goal to put the Running Eagles ahead 4-3.
• The Life U defense held Tennessee Wesleyan to just three shots on frame in the second half to earn the 4-3 upset victory at home.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Life U outshot Tennessee Wesleyan 19-17 during the match, and 15-5 in the second half.
• Both Teams recorded 11 shots on goal.
• Life U held a slight advantage in corner kicks, 6-5, and saves, 8-7.
