TIGERVILLE, S.C. ---- The Life University men's volleyball team fell in five sets 3-2 on the road Friday night to North Greenville University.
 
NOTES
• Life U fell to 2-1, while North Greenville improved to 2-3.
 
STANDOUT PERFORMERS 
• Livan Moreno recorded a career-high 29 kills with three digs. 
• Allain Larroche also picked up 43 assists with nine digs and four service aces.
• Javier Cornier (12) and Luiz De Mello (10) finished in double figures with digs.  
 
HOW IT HAPPENED 
• North Greenville jumped out to an early 15-12 lead in the first set, however a quick 3-0 run from Life U was finished with an ace from Cornier that tied the set at 15.
• Trailing 17-16, Life U used a 4-0 run to take a 20-17 lead as Perez picked up the kill. North Greenville provided a late 3-0 run, however Life U took the first set 25-22 as Gonzalez picked up the kill. 
• In set two, both teams traded the lead in the early moments of the set, however a 3-0 run from Life U was finished with a kill from Gonzalez to give the Running Eagles an 11-9 lead. 
• A 5-1 run from North Greenville gave the Crusaders a 16-13 advantage. Life U was unable to overcome the deficit as North Greenville finished the second set on a 3-0 run to win 25-21. 
• Set three continued the back and forth affair between the two teams as Life U led 13-12 after a kill from Gonzalez. North Greenville responded with a 7-1 run to lead 19-14. North Greenville would eventually take set three by a score of 25-20 to move ahead 2-1 in games. 
• North Greenville jumped out to an early 7-2 lead in set four, however a 6-2 run from Life U tied the match at 13. 
• Trailing 22-21, Life U used a 4-0 run to tie the match at two games apiece with a set score of 25-22 to force a fifth frame. 
• In the fifth set, Life U held a 10-9 lead after a service ace from Larroche. However, the Running Eagles would not score another point as the Crusaders rolled off six consecutive points to take the set 15-10, and the match three games to two. 
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Life U led North Greenville in kills 52-47. Life U finished with a hitting percentage of .252 as North Greenville finished with a .232.
• Life U led North Greenville in digs, 41-35.
• North Greenville led Life U in aces 10-5 and blocks 12-3. 
• Life U committed 25 service errors to the 15 from North Greenville.
