MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University women's lacrosse team scored five goals in the final six minutes to come from behind and defeat Tennessee Wesleyan 17-16 at home Tuesday night.

• Life U improved to 6-5 on the year, as Tennessee Wesleyan fell to 6-7.

STANDOUT PERFORMERSÂ

Lauren Rielly led the way offensively for the Running Eagles with five goals and three assists.
•
Jewelya Nelson provided the game-winner, and finished with four goals during the match. She added a pair of ground balls, caused turnovers and draw controls as well.

Bridgett Simmer and
Skylar Clum each caused four turnovers for the defense as
Julia Thompson recorded the win in goal with a career-high 16 saves. Â

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
• Tennessee Wesleyan took an early 1-0 lead 20 seconds into the game, however Kallish responded thirty seconds later to tie the game at one in the first minute.
• Tennessee Wesleyan started to pull away with a 5-0 run to lead 6-1 in the 22
nd minute.
• Life U responded immediately with a 6-0 run to take its first lead of the game, 7-6, after a goal from Rielly. Nelson scored a pair on the run as Beshaw and Kallish each scored as well. Â
• Tennessee Wesleyan scored two goals to take an 8-7 lead, however Legaspi scored a goal with 1:14 on the clock to tie the game at eight for the break.
• Bader opened up the scoring for Life U in the second half to give the Running Eagles a 9-8 lead two minutes in, however Tennessee Wesleyan responded with a pair of its own goals to lead 10-9.
• Rielly scored a pair of goals to give Life U a temporary 11-10 lead. Tennessee Wesleyan responded with a 5-1 run to lead 15-12 with 7:20 remaining in the game.
• Life U finished the game on a 5-1 run to take the victory. Nelson scored with an assist from Rielly with 1:28 on the clock to seal the victory in favor of the Running Eagles.
