MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University women's lacrosse team fell to No. 8 nationally ranked Georgetown College 22-9 Friday night at home in Mid-South Conference play.

• Life U fell to 5-5 (0-4), as Georgetown improved to 6-5 (1-2).

STANDOUT PERFORMERSÂ
•
Maria Arvizu and
Lauren Rielly each scored three goals and picked up an assist to lead the Running Eagles offensively. Each also picked up two draw controls.
•
Sarah Bader added two goals in the match as
Darion Eagen scored one and had five ground balls with four caused turnovers.
•
Bridgett Simmer and
Sandy Le tallied four ground balls each. Â

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
• Georgetown jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first four minutes, as Arvizu found the back of the net for Life U a minute later. The two teams traded goals as Arvizu scored again and Bader scored her first of the season to make the score 4-3 in favor of the Tigers.
• Georgetown scored four unanswered goals in the next five minutes, however Arvizu picked up a hat-trick in the first half with a goal in the 23
rd minute.
• The Tigers led 8-4 before extending their lead to seven, 11-4 with a quick 3-0 burst.
Lauren Rielly scored the final goal for Life U in the first half however Georgetown added an additional goal with under a minute on the clock to lead 12-5 at the break. Â
• Three minutes into the second half, Georgetown scored, however Life U responded with a 3-0 run to cut the lead to five, 13-8, with 19:21 left in the game. Bader, Rielly and Eagen each scored.
• Georgetown finished the game on a 9-1 run to earn the 22-9 victory.

• Life U finished with 20 total shots as 15 were on frame. Georgetown tallied 36 shots with 33 on frame.
• Life U held an 11-6 advantage over Georgetown in saves.
• Life U was 22-of-27 on clears during the game as Georgetown finished 20-of-26.
• Georgetown committed 32 turnovers in the game as Life U finished with 31.
• Life U picked up 16 ground balls compared to the 22 from Georgetown. Georgetown also led Life U 24-8 in draw controls throughout the game.
