WALESKA, Ga. ---- The Life University women's soccer team fell in the 2019 season opener on the road to Reinhardt 3-1.
NOTES
• The match was the first for both teams as Reinhardt improved to 1-0, while Life U fell to 0-1.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Freshman
Sarah Slingluff led the way for the Running Eagles with a team-high three shots. She also scored her first career goal in the 82
nd minute of the match.

Annaliese Froese provided the assist on the goal, and
Paula Dieckmann added the final shot on frame.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Life U had just two shots in the first 45 minutes as Reinhardt led 2-0 at the break with nine shots in the first half.
• Reinhardt added its third goal of the match in the 69
th minute of play to lead 3-0.
• Piecing together great passes, Slingluff found the back of the net for Life U with the cross from Froese.
• Reinhardt earned a late penalty; however, Life U was able to come up with the save to preserve the score line at 3-1.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Reinhardt outshot Life U 16-7 during the match. The Eagles held the advantage in shots on frame over the Running Eagles 8-3.
• Both teams earned four corner kicks throughout the match.
• Life U led Reinhardt 5-2 in saves.
