Women's Soccer Falls to Johnson & Wales 2-6
MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University women's soccer team fell in their home opener August 27 to Johnson & Wales 2-6.
NOTES
• Johnson & Wales comes off of a 1-0 start, while the Running Eagles are coming off a 0-1 start, playing Reinhardt the previous week.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Freshman Sarah Slingluff scored both goals for the Running Eagles in the first and second half respectively.
• Alexandria Collighan provided the assist on the second goal in the 64th minute of the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Johnson & Wales scored Goals in each half to Life's one goal per half.
•The Running Eagles had a chance to close the score up 3-6 with a penalty kick in the second half, attempted by Collighan. The goal was saved by Johnson & Wales' Mendoza.
