OXFORD, Ala. ---- The Life University men's soccer team opened the 2019 season with an 8-0 road victory over Talladega College over the weekend.
The match featured six different goal scorers in the contest as
Wessley Soronellas and
Ricardo Lawrence each picked up two goals.
Eddy Diaz added a goal and an assist as
Martin Cortes also scored.
Thierry Jules finished with an assist as
Mattheus Brandao also had a goal and an assist.
Reyes Hernandez totaled a team-high two assists with
Felipe Batagini scoring the final goal.
Fabian Pekruhl played all 90 minutes in goal for Life U and recorded two saves for the shutout victory.
The 8-0 victory marks the largest margin of victory in the last four seasons.
The Running Eagles will return to action on Tuesday, September 3, when they travel to Athens, Tenn. to face Tennessee Wesleyan University at 4 PM.
