MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University men's soccer team fell to (RV) Martin Methodist 4-2 Saturday night despite outscoring the Redhawks 2-1 in the second half.
NOTES
• Life U fell to 3-3 on the year as Martin Methodist improved to 7-2.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Stan Vandierendonck led the way for Life U offensively with four total shots and a goal.

Mattheus Brandao added a pair of shots with the other goal for the Running Eagles.

Fabian Pekruhl totaled four saves in goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Martin Methodist came out on the offensive as Pekruhl totaled three saves in the first 15 minutes of the match.
• Martin Methodist scored three goals in the first half in the 17
th, 30
th and 35
th minute to take a 3-0 lead into the half.
• With 23 minutes remaining in the match, Brandao converted on a penalty kick to cut the lead to two.
• Eight minutes later, Vandierendonck connected from outside the box with a shot into the lower left corner of the goal to bring the Running Eagles to within one, 3-2..
• Martin Methodist sealed the victory four minutes later in the 80
th minute with a final goal to earn the 4-2 victory over Life U.
