MARIETTA, GA — The Women's Basketball team returned to action on Thursday where they faced Voorhees College Tigers out of Denmark, SC. 

The previous matchup between the Running Eagles and Tigers resulted in a score of 66-68 overtime win in favor of Voorhees. This matchup would turn out differently for the Running Eagles. The women would close out the game with a 92-61 win. 

The game would fluctuate in the first quarter, with the Tigers playing catch-up. The Running Eagles would take a commanding lead throughout, though it would be a low-scoring one. In the second quarter, the Women would lead 26-15 at the five-minute mark. 

A steal from Sydni Tears would boost the score to 16 points before closing out the second quarter with a score of 35-19. The Running Eagles would score 14 points off turnovers in the second quarter alone. 

Entering the third quarter, the Women would run the score up, but the momentum would shift in favor of Voorhees. They Tigers would close the score margin down to single digits, with a 9 point difference. The Running Eagles would fight back to take a lead of 14 at the end of the third quarter. 

In the fourth quarter, the Women would take charge with a twenty point lead. Senior, Tierra Lindsey, Tierra Tullis, Maeisha Teasley and Sydni Tears would reach double-digits in the fourth. Before the Running Eagles would advance to a two-game win streak. 

Guard, Kiara Glenn would finish one point shy of a double-double, with nine points and 11 assists. Tierra Lindsey would finish with 17 points, five steals and four rebounds. The team would tally 22 steals and 27 assists as a team throughout the game.

The women will finish out their final home game on Saturday, February 22 against Cumberland University at 2PM. Life University Athletics will honor three Seniors from the Women's Team.
