MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University men's soccer team failed to keep up with Dalton State, losing 3-0 to start the season on a cold, rainy afternoon game in Lupo Family Field.

• The home loss gives the Running Eagles a 0-1 record, while the Roadrunners are now 4-0-1.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Jelle De Graaf and
Callum Jenkins recorded two shots on goal during the contest for Life U, three of the shots coming in the second half.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Dalton State got on the board in the 16th minute to take a 1-0 lead early. Despite Life U possessing a 5-2 advantage when it came to shots attempted, the Roadrunners went to the break still holding that 1-0 lead.
• The second half saw the game get much more chippy, the team's combining for nine cards during the span. Life U found chances to pressure the Dalton State back line yet again leading in shots attempted, but failed to break through for a goal. In the final four minutes of play Dalton State recorded its second and third goals, the final one coming with just over 40 seconds to play for the 3-0 final score.
