PULASKI, Tenn. ---- The No. 10 nationally ranked Life University women's volleyball team earned the road 3-1 victory over the University of Tennessee Southern Thursday night to extend its program-best 19 game win streak.

The Running Eagles got off to a slow start trailing by 10-3 early in set one. The team battled its way back but fell to the Firehawks 25-23. Life U won the next three sets consecutively 25-16, 25-13 and 25-23 to earn the road win. 

Life U led in nearly every statistical category, however UT-Southern held an 11-6 advantage in blocks. The Firehawks finished with 43 kills and a .205 hitting percentage, as the Running Eagles totaled 59 kills and a .311 hitting percentage. Life U also led 10-4 in service aces, 58-41 in assists and 60-50 in digs.

Individually, Fayola Louis paced the offense for Life U with 18 kills and a .333 hitting percentage. She added three block assists with a pair of digs. Lena Pucnik finished just behind her with 15 kills and a .367 hitting percentage with seven digs and a service ace. Mary Zimmerman added nine kills with four block assists and five digs as Jessie Prichard totaled 53 assists with four block assists, three service aces, five digs and a pair of kills. Marin Black added 17 digs with s service ace as Savannah Keener added 10 digs with a service ace. Julia Mollick served well with three service aces as well. 

The women's volleyball team will return to action on Tuesday, November 2nd, when they host Bethel University in the Eagles' Nest at 6 PM in the final home match of the year.
