Women's Lacrosse Falls, 20-9, at No.6 Reinhardt

WALESKA, Ga. ---- The seventh-ranked Life University women's lacrosse team could not keep up with sixth-ranked Reinhardt University on the road, losing the game 20-9 Thursday night.
 
NOTES
• Life U falls to 7-3 following the loss, while Reinhardt improves to 3-1.
 
STANDOUT PERFORMERS 
• Brianna Freeman led the way on the attack for the Running Eagles, collecting a team high three goals as well as an assist.
Tina Ricci also contributed four points to the team, hers coming by way of a team high three assists to go with her goal scored. The senior also added two ground balls and a caused turnover.
Annslee Warchol put forth a strong effort, scoring twice on only two shots taken.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED 
• Reinhardt quickly put the first score on the board in the first minute of play, but Life U did a good job of responding, Tori Adcox tying things up not much more than a minute later. Reinhardt ripped off four goals over the following five minutes to take create some breathing room. With 13 minutes left in the half, both teams added a pair of goals to set the score at 7-3, but from that point Reinhardt scored seven unanswered goals to head into the break, Life U trailing 14-3.
• The second half opened with the Reinhardt run continuing with three more goals over the first eight minutes of the period. Life U outscored their opponent from that point, registering six goals over the final twenty minutes of play, but the damage had already been done, losing 20-9.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Life U trailed in regards to shots attempted, taking 18 with 12 on goal, while Reinhardt took 33 with 26 on goal.
• The Running Eagles led in saves 6-3.
• Life U was perfect on the night clearing, completing 10-of-10, Reinhardt failing on one for a 13-of-14 mark.
• The Running Eagles committed 20 turnovers in the game to Reinhardt's 10.
• Life U picked up 10 ground balls compared to the 29 from Reinhardt, the Eagles also leading Life U 15-9 in draw controls during the game.

• The women's lacrosse team stays on the road for their next contest, traveling to (RV) Ave Maria Wednesday, March 31 for a 6 PM Mid-South Conference game.
