MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Life University women's soccer team was unable to find a goal Tuesday night as the Running Eagles fell to (RV) Cumberland University 1-0 in Mid-South Conference Action.
NOTES
• Life U fell to 4-5-1 (0-5) as Cumberland improved to 3-1.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Leah McDaid led the Running Eagles in shot attempts for the game with three and put one on frame.
Mathilde Sletner and
Snaedis Logadottir each tallied two shots with one on frame as well.
•
Julia Vila Punset totaled seven saves during the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Life U came out firing in the opening of the match as the Running Eagles outshot Cumberland 4-1 in the first 23 minutes of action. The score remained tied 0-0 as Cumberland stepped up the offensive pressure with shots on frame in the 33
rd minute and the 38
th minute.
• Just under four minutes before the break, Cumberland found the lone goal of the game to take a 1-0 lead into the half.
• Halfway through the second half, Lopez nearly found the equalizer as the Cumberland goalie picked up the save to preserve the 1-0 advantage.
• Life U did not record a shot on frame in the final 20 minutes of the match as Cumberland held on to earn the 1-0 MSC win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Cumberland narrowly edged Life U in total shots 11-10. The Running Eagles finished with four shots on frame to the eight from the Phoenix.
• Cumberland held a slight 2-1 lead in corner kicks over Life U, however the Running Eagles led the Phoenix in saves 7-4.
