HOW IT HAPPENED
• Life U found itself on its back foot early in the contest, Georgetown getting five shots off over the first 10 minutes of play and then taking a 1-0 lead with 32:39 to go in the half. Life U responded with a goal of its own four minutes later to tie the game at 1-1. Brandao collected a ball that had just been deflected by the goalie after a
Wilfried Tchoupa Kamden on frame shot, Brandao passing to Diaz for the tying goal. In the final 10 minutes of the half, after an offsides erased a potential Life U score, Georgetown (Ky.) rushed down the field to score the team's second goal of the game to take a 2-1 lead into the half.
• After what was a very back-and-forth first half, Life U came out of the break on a mission, taking over the game in the second half. T. Jules got things started quickly in the second, scoring the equalizer just three minutes into the period. Four minutes later in the 53rd minute, the Tigers committed a foul in the penalty area, setting Brandao up for what was the winning score on a penalty kick. Georgetown (Ky.) threatened to even things up many times over the remainder of the game, but outstanding defensive efforts and keeping the ball on the offensive side of the field saw Life U come out of the game with a 3-2 victory.
