Men's Soccer Fades Late in 3-2 Loss to No. 23 Bethel

MARIETTA, Ga. ---- The Men's Soccer team held a 2-1 lead with less than five minutes remaining in the game, but two quick goals gave No. 23 Bethel the last minute win in conference play Tuesday night at Lupo Family Field.

NOTES
• Tuesday's game saw Life U fall to 3-6 (2-5) with the loss, while Bethel (Tenn.) improved to 4-0 (3-0).

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Throughout the second half, Luciano Diaz did a great job of keeping pressure on the Wildcat defense, getting multiple great looks on his way to leading the team with three shots on goal off a total of four attempts with one goal.
• Zidane Bogle scored the other goal of the game for Life U off his only attempt.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Life U struggled transitioning its solid defense into good offensive looks over the first 45 minutes of play. The team did a great job of limiting a very athletic Bethel (Tenn.) team's looks at the goal. Bethel broke through for the first goal of the game on a ball chipped in from a distance in the 42nd minute for the 1-0 lead the team would take into the break.
• The Running Eagles found offensive momentum in the second half, finding many more good looks at the goal. In the 62nd minute, Diaz finally got Life U on the board off a nice pass from Callum Jenkins. Only seven minutes later, the game seemed to flip entirely in Life U's favor as Bogle received a ball from Wilfried Tchoupa Kamden that he knocked into the back of the net for the 2-1 lead. The Running Eagle defensive effort seemed poised to give Life U the huge upset victory, but with less than five minutes to go in the game, Bethel recorded two quick goals to push the score in their advantage, 3-2.
