Women's Soccer Bests Faulkner 3-1 on Road

MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- The women's soccer team recorded its first road win of the season tonight, besting future SSAC opponent Faulkner 3-1 while controlling the game's offensive intensity.

NOTES

• The win sees Life U improve to 3-1, while Faulkner drops to 2-4.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
Justine Kuiper scored the first goal of the game and the second of the season while taking two total shots.
Estelle Caill and Rebecca Noren also both got in on the scoring, earning the first goals of their Life U career off a single shot each.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Running Eagles came out on fire to start the game, possessing the ball deep in Faulkner's territory and holding a one-sided advantage in shots, 13-1. Kuiper got Life U on the board with a rocket of a kick into the top left corner of the goal in the tenth minute of the match, while Caill scored second to put the team up 2-0 just 15 minutes into the game. Faulkner scored its first goal off a penalty kick just before the 38th minute, seeing the teams enter the break, Life U leading 2-1.
• The second half played out much the same as the first, the Running Eagles keeping all of the offensive momentum on their side as they again outshot Faulkner by a wide margin—this time 12-2. The final score of the game came off the foot of Noren before 10 minutes had passed in the period, providing the final score of 3-1.
