LAKELAND, Fla. ---- The Life University men's soccer team fought a hardly contested match against (RV) Southeastern in an evening game, but a late push was not enough as the Running Eagles fell 2-1 on the road.
NOTES
• The road loss drops Life U to 1-2 on the season, while Southeastern improves to 6-1.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Wilfried Tchoupa Kamden recorded the lone Running Eagle goal of the game, while taking four shots all of which were on goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Neither team recorded a goal in the first half, as the teams fought back and forth, creating good offensive possessions which they both stopped with excellent defensive play.
• The second half opened with Southeastern taking the lead with two early goals. The Running Eagles turned up the pressure after falling into a 2-0 hole, getting off three shots on goal over a two minute period, but it was not until the 78th minute that the team got on the board with Tchoupa Kamden's second goal of the season. With time running out and the game on the line, Life U got two good looks at the goal in the final minute, but both shots were stopped by the Southeastern goal keeper, as the Running Eagles came up just short, 2-1.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• In what was a very tight contest Life U just edged out Southeastern in shots, 18-16, but fell behind in shots on goal 9-8.
• The Running Eagles held a slight advantage in corner kicks with seven to Southeastern's five.
•The teams tied at seven each in saves.
• Life U was penalized much more than Southeastern, receiving 12 fouls to Southeastern's four.
