To begin the game, the native of Paris, Tennessee hit her first two opening shots with a layup and three ptr. narrowing the Ram lead to two at the three-minute mark. Second-quarter action saw Life University explode out on an 8-0 run, 26-19, but the Rams responded with a 7-0 run to cut the deficit to 28-30. The two teams traded leads back and forth throughout the remainder of the quarter with both teams ending deadlocked at 40 after 20 minutes were played.
