WALESKA, Ga. --- The Running Eagles came out of the gates quickly again Monday night, pulling away for a 3-1 victory on the road at Reinhardt Univ. to stay undefeated on the season.
Despite the tough slate of road contests to start the season, the win pushes Life U (3-0) to their best start since the program was brought back in 2016. Although the score heavily favored the Running Eagles, the offensive stat line was rather even, Life U leading in shots 16-12 (9-5 shots on goal). Saves were also rather close between the team's Reinhardt holding a 6-4 edge in the category. Life U found itself on the wrong side of the call in regards to fouls most of the game, leading in fouls 15-8, and cards 5-3. 
The Running Eagles quickly established themselves in the game, an early blitz of offensive pressure culminating in a 
Matteo Olivotto goal just 9:41 in. Life U put four shots on goal in the first 15 minutes of play. After Reinhardt found a little offense, the Running Eagles pushed the lead to 2-0 as a pass from 
Ole Kuperus led to a 
Danny DeLorijn goal in the 22nd minute. Reinhardt's lone goal of the evening came just five minutes later on a penalty kick opportunity, the teams entering the break with Life U up 2-1.
The second half saw both team's finding opportunities to put the ball on frame, but both 
Luka Zakarija and Reinhardt's goal keeper kept on coming up with stops. It was not until the 77th minute that the Running Eagles were able to put the final nail in the game, 
Bart Kooistra recording a goal to extend the lead to 3-1. Life U's defense clamped down even harder, allowing only one more shot over the remainder of the game to take the 3-1 victory.
Head Coach 
Alex Pama was impressed with how the team came together to pull off a strong victory. "Another good, solid win for our boys. Super proud of the display the subs gave in the second half. We adjusted our formation slightly and it paid off thanks to our substitutes. They were brilliant tonight. We had some fantastic text book goals. The fans saw two teams in an epic battle." Pama continued, expressing how the victory sets the team up for further success, "It is always difficult to play Reinhardt, so to come away with yet another win gives us confidence for this weekend when we face two very strong teams yet again."
The team stays on the road for its next two contests, facing another receiving votes team in LSU-Shreveport Saturday at 6 PM in a neutral site competition at Georgia Gwinnett College before playing Point University at the same venue Monday at 11:30 AM.
