MARIETTA, Ga. - In continuing their conference competition, the Life U women's volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 victory on the road at home against Faulkner University (Ala.) Saturday afternoon.
The Running Eagles got off to a strong start taking an 4-0 lead out of the gate with a quick celebration for Fayola Louis after reaching 1000 career kills and cruised to a 25-13 win in the opening set.
In the second set, Life U led 13-8 before the Eagles put them back in contention making it a close game, but was not able to finish the set with another Running Eagles set win 25-21.
Life U had a rocky start to the third set trailing 6-1 to the Eagles until a kill from Louis brought the Running Eagles back into play. Life U was able to hold off Faulkner with a 25-15 win for the straight sets sweep.
Louis led Life U with eleven kills, while Chloe Teter added seven. Amanda Ray led with 15 digs, while Naomi Eckert Rivera added 25 assists. Teter also tallied four aces.
Up next, the Running Eagles are on the road at Stillman on Monday.
