MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life U women's basketball team won their first game of the season with a dominant 75-47 victory over Truett McConnell University at home Saturday afternoon.

Senior center Deborah Powell helped the Running Eagles off the bench, pouring in seven points and five rebounds.

TMU followed for all of the first quarter and the Running Eagles ended the period on a 8-0 run to take an 18-3 lead into the second.

Life U continued their scoring frenzy and closed the second quarter strong, this time the Bears brought some work into the mix but still trailed 20-41 headed to the half giving the Running Eagles a large enough margin to keep them in the lead.

The Running Eagles blitzed the Bears out of the locker room, scoring five straight points to create a 26 point lead starting the third quarter. From there, they never looked back and removed all doubt heading to the final quarter.
