MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life U women's basketball team dominated from start-to-finish in a 91-44 in a huge win over Brenau University on Wednesday night at the Eagles' Nest.

The Running Eagles took a modest lead into the half and ran away from the Golden Tigers with a 32-10 edge in the fourth quarter to bring Life U to 6-1 on the season.

It was a balanced scoring attack for Life U as five scored in double figures and ten different players scored overall.

The group was led by junior Tanit Calsapeu who came off the bench with 17 points and graduate student Andrea Martin Ruiz who put up 13 while Sara Viti and Maeisha Teasley were fantastic, both with 12 points.

Teasley defensively was on fire with eight steals to help cause 30 turnovers for Brenau.

Brenau was first to put up a dent in the scoreboard, but Life U led for much of the first quarter going on a 11-0 run and taking the first quarter with a 23-9 lead.

The Running Eagles continued to take over and closed the half strong, this time with a 7-0 run in the middle of the quarter to give Life U a 45-19 lead headed to the half.

The Golden Tigers came out of the locker room with a fight, but it was not enough for the Running Eagles to lose their momentum.

The offensive onslaught continued in the fourth quarter for the Running Eagles, as the team added 32 more points in the final 10 minutes. From there, Life U never looked back, increasing the lead to as much as 50 points late in the fourth quarter to remove all doubt.

Up next, the Running Eagles will look to improve to 7-1 and 3-0 in SSAC play as they battle Middle Georgia State University Nov. 29th at 5:30 p.m. to continue their fantastic season.
