MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life University women's soccer team coasted to a 5-1 win over Faulkner Thursday in SSAC play to move to 4-0 in conference play.
Sophomore, Lilja Bjorg Olafsdottir led the way for Life U with two goals in the opening 13' minutes. The first goal was assisted by Anakah Madril and the second goal was also assisted by Madril and Jeanne Brigand.
The onslaught continued as Dana Billington added a goal in the 20' with Sacha Millward earning the assist putting Life U ahead 3-0 at the break,
Madril added early to the board in the second half by banking a rocket of a shot in the 49' and was assisted by Marey Helgadottir. Less than a minute later, Dana Billington assisted Lottie Turner for the Midfielder's first goal of the season giving the Running Eagles the 5-0 lead.
The Eagles were able to tack on one right at the end of the second half but it was not enough for them to make a run.
Up next, the Running Eagles will be at home for another SSAC matchup taking on Thomas University at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 30.
