MARIETTA, Ga. - The Life U women's soccer team was at it again, defeating a SSAC opponent for the fifth straight contest with a 6-2 victory over Thomas University. This time, LU took off early in the first half.

The Running Eagles were the only ones on the board in the first half as the team capitalized in the 9' minute with an early goal. Life U controlled possession for most of the first half with a second goal coming from Sacha Millward in the 25'. Later in the first half Gabby Cruzado was able to get past the Night Hawks goalie by netting a goal, which was also assisted by defenders Serenity Tumpkin and Marey Helgadottir going into the break 3-0.

Grace Staunton posted two saves in the first half and three total in the contest.

The Running Eagles were attacking early again and Millward put her second goal of the night in the 46' and Helgadottir was the assist to help. The Night Hawks ensured they were not going to end without a goal on the board and shortly put one in the back of the net in the 50'. Millward was not done for the night and put a third goal back granting the forward a hat trick.

To end Life U's scoring frenzy the Running Eagles were fouled right in front of the goal in 66' to give defender Nellie Pedersen the chance to score her first goal of the season and a 6-1 lead.

Thomas did not want to end the game just yet and the Night Hawks were able to put up a second goal in the 85'.

Overall, Life U had 23 shots to Thomas's nine in the contest, marking their fifth straight win.

Up next, the Running Eagles will be on the road to take on #12 University of Tennessee Southern on Thursday, October 5 at 5 p.m.
