MARIETTA, Ga. - Thanks to a dominant fourth quarter, the Life U women's basketball team coasted to a 72-53 win over Stillman College Saturday. With a nine point lead heading to the final period, the Running Eagles left no doubt outscoring the Tigers 20-11 in the final ten minutes.Â
In the first quarter, Stillman gave Life U a tough first ten minutes. After a tight battle through the opening minutes, the Running Eagles and Tigers end in a first quarter draw 16-16. Â
It was close again through the second quarter as the Running Eagles held the edge at the half 34-25. Maeisha Teasley led Life U in the first half with 11 points including going 4-of-4 from inside the arc.Â
The third quarter was another battle with the Tigers going on a 8-0 run giving the Running Eagles a tough time but Life U was able to keep space ending the quarter 52-42 but the fourth was all Life U as was the final score line.Â
Three Running Eagles scored 12 or more led by Teasley who posted 17 points.Â
Up next, the Running Eagles will travel down the road to Middle Georgia State University to compete in SSAC play on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
